Voki because we were just on computers. My attitude has
changed towards Humanities. I found it difficult in Year 8, and I am starting to understand the topic easier than before. My behaviour has
been the same, quiet but i have gained a bit of confidence. My interim report in the subject wilI indicate that I
can understand most of the topic well. Some parts of the topic are a bit hard. The hardest task I have had to complete
was the Research Essay
. My workbook is
filled with hand outs and some notes which I made as neat as I can. My greatest strength is
reading a text then answering some questions. The two areas of my learning that I want to focus on improving are: 1.
Essays that would or wouldn't include research 2.

Always come prepared to class. Have your books opened without the teacher even telling you. What did you do to help yourself learn?
I do my homework and the tasks in class quietly and i try to put 100% of my time and effort to my work. What did you do that made it difficult for you to learn well? I lack confidence to ask questions even though I don't understand it. Who did you work with? Were these effective (good) working relationships?
I worked with my friends and some of my classmates. Yes. How is your progress towards meeting your goals for the semester? I think I achieved some of my goals for the semester.

I chose these goals because I am slacking off with homework nowadays...and this is stopping me from learning.

I learned about how economy works and about Supply and Demand. I learned how it affects a business and a products price.

I would push people harder.

I measure personal success if I have completed a set task through hard work and I have pride in what I did.

I don't think I was successful this semester since I have completed the set task but it wasn't through hard work nor did I have pride in it.

How prepared do you feel you are to undertake a VCE subject next year?
I'm not that prepared but it is just term three and I think I will be more prepared by the end of the year. a. Are you on-track to achieving your Semester 2 goals in this subject? No, I don’t believe that I am really on-track with my goals for this semester. I have pretty much completed my goals, but with the homework part of my goal, I believe that I can complete it with hard work and not just for it to be done with.
b. What do you believe have been the three most important things you have learnt during Term 3? (1) I learned that starting you own business, complete with the advertising and all that is REALLY hard (2) I have learned that laws are made to give all of us freedom. I never considered this as a reason why laws are needed until the lesson. (3) I have learned about my rights. c. Select a lesson during this term which you thought was the best and explain why you believe it was the best. I really liked the economics class, especially where we had to make different advertisements for a chosen product. I liked that lesson because we did something that used and develope my skills and it was very interesting for me.
d. Are you happy with the Homework habits you have developed and will they greatly assist you next year? Explain. I am not really happy with the Homework habits that I have developed since I know I can do better. I believe that they can help me with next year, especially when I improve.
e. In what ways do you always "do your best" in this subject? I do my best when I am very into the work in the subject, which means, it’s important for me or if it’s interesting.
f. Do you have "high expectations" in this subject? Explain or justify your answer I believe I have high expectations in this subject, as I always try and do my best (although sometimes I fail to do my best) in class. But my expectations for myself are different from the expectations of others.
g. What extra help do you need from your teacher to help you learn and to improve your skills? I don’t know what extra help I need from the teacher. The most obvious one I can think of is whenever I don’t understand anything, I need the teacher’s help.
h. Are you happy with your progress and achievement in this subject? Yes. I am happy.
i. How many times have you been recognised on the "Hall of Fame" wiki page and how do you feel about this? I got mentioned twice for things that were very similar to others. I’m happy, but it’s not much of a big deal for me.
j. My teacher always ....... (complete this statement by writing a brief paragraph) My teacher always talks too much. This can be a good thing sometimes, but it can get a bit irritating especially when we’re in the middle of work and he calls to discuss something. This makes me forget some of the ideas in my head.
